MATTHEW MCCONNELL

Matthew C. McConnell joined Metzger Rosta, LLP in March of 2021.  Matthew practices in the areas of insurance defense and insurance coverage, including automobile and trucking defense, declaratory judgment actions, premises liability, products liability, and construction defect. 

Prior to joining Metzger Rosta LLP, Matthew was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Tippecanoe County for five years.  At the Prosecutor’s Office he tried multiple felony jury trials and bench trials.  From 2019 to 2021, he served as the Chairperson of the Tippecanoe County Child Fatality Review Team. Before working at the Prosecutor’s Office, he was an associate attorney at a plaintiff’s firm in Carmel, Indiana, where he handled personal injury cases including trucking accidents and wrongful death.

Matthew graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Telecommunications in 2009 and from The John Marshall Law School Chicago (JMLS) in 2013.  At JMLS, he was a member of The John Marshall Law Review and Moot Court Honors Council.  He is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Maine.  Matthew was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, and now lives with his wife and two children in Hamilton County.
