MYRANDA MCLEAN

Myranda A. McLean is an attorney with Metzger Rosta, LLP, where she practices a wide variety of civil litigation. She is experienced in insurance defense, premises liability, personal injury, insurance coverage, declaratory judgment actions, and bad faith litigation.

 

Myranda earned her B.A. in Spanish in 2011 from Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana, along with a paralegal certification in 2015. She also received her Masters in Public Administration in 2018 from Ball State University, where she was named Criminal Justice Student of the Year. She received her J.D. in 2025 from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, who pioneered the introduction of a blended learning program, allowing many working individuals the opportunity to obtain a law degree through hybrid learning which encompassed classroom time as well as online coursework.

 

While in law school, Myranda worked full-time at Founders Insurance, handling automobile accident litigation defense files as well as insurance coverage and bad faith litigation files. She balanced this along with her commitment to law school which required travel to St. Paul, Minnesota, for in-person required coursework. Myranda accelerated the completion of her law degree from the standard four-year part time program to the three-year program which required additional coursework, time, and commitment to complete. Outside of her own dedication, she credits her success to her family and close knit group of friends that made it all possible.

 

Myranda has extensive experience in the insurance industry between her time as a claims adjuster and now an attorney. She also spent significant time with State Farm Insurance as a complex claims handler. She holds both an Associate in Claims and Legal Principles Claim Specialist designation, supporting her knowledge of the industry, She brings an interesting perspective by being able to understand the insurance claims point of view, as well as the litigation point of view.
