About Shelby Hughes
Before law school, Shelby worked as an account manager for an employee benefits broker, researching compliance questions for employers and translating the answers into guidance they could act on. She worked hard at learning the industry and developing tailored solutions, and she quickly became a trusted business partner for her corporate clients. This work inspired her to pursue a career as an attorney. She is the first attorney in her family, and she did not know a single attorney before attending law school. As someone who learned the legal system from the outside, she is intentional about walking clients through each stage of their case without legal shorthand.
