About

Michael E. Walschlager joined Metzger Rosta, LLP in June 2018.  He was born and raised in the Anderson/Pendleton Indiana area and currently lives in Hamilton County with his wife and three children.

Mr. Walschlager graduated from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois in January 1995.  He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University – West Lafayette, in 1988. He started his legal career as a deputy prosecutor in Marion County, Indiana.  After leaving the prosecutor’s office in 2004, he continued his practice in civil litigation working mostly in the field of insurance defense law in the areas of automobile and trucking defense, construction defects, products liability, premises liability, declaratory judgment actions, insurance coverage and tort claims against schools and other governmental entities.  Mr. Walschlager has tried more than 20 jury trials as lead counsel in various counties in the State of Indiana, as well as numerous bench trials.

Mr. Walschlager is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
