About

Kimberly R. Hughes is an attorney at Metzger Rosta, LLP and practices in the areas of construction litigation, employment law, product liability, automobile defense, premises liability, and business litigation. 

Prior to joining Metzger Rosta, LLP, Mrs. Hughes worked at a defense firm in Atlanta, Georgia for four years representing one of the largest hospital networks in the Metro-Atlanta area in its employment and premises liability matters.  Mrs. Hughes defended the hospital network against charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and defendant lawsuits filed in Federal Court pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.   In addition to her employment and premises caseload, Mrs. Hughes represented a wide range of corporate clients in insurance defense matters, including premises liability, commercial trucking, construction defect, and product liability.   Before moving to Atlanta, Mrs. Hughes practiced at a plaintiff’s firm in Dayton, Ohio for two years where she handled complex personal injury cases, including medical malpractice and wrongful death.

Mrs. Hughes is originally an Indiana native.  She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2011, and legal research and writing have always been a substantial portion of her practice.  At the University of Dayton School of Law (UDSL), Mrs. Hughes received the course award for Appellate Advocacy and later served as the course Teaching Assistant.  During law school, Mrs. Hughes also served as a Research Assistant for the UDSL Legal Writing Department, was awarded Best Appellee’s Brief at the Walter Rice Moot Court Competition and served as a Moot Court Board Member.  Mrs. Hughes received additional course awards in Evidence, Civil Trial Practice, & Administrative Law.  She lives in Noblesville, Indiana with her husband and daughter.
